Your Directors

The Credit Union Board has responsibility for the overall management and strategic direction of the Credit Union. All Board members are independent of management and are elected by Members on a rotation of every 3 years.

Luke Austin - Chairman

Luke has been a member of Intech Credit Union since 2011 and a Director on the Intech Board since 2012. He was elected as the Chair of the Board in November 2015 and Chair of the Renewal & Remuneration Committee. He is also a member of the Merger and Governance Committees. He held a number of senior roles at IBM Australia from from 2000 to 2005 before becoming the ANZ CFO at Lenovo. He is now CFO at Huawei Technologies, Australia NZ & Pacific Islands.


Andy Lanskis - Deputy Chairman

Andy was elected to the Intech Board in November 2014 and became Deputy Chair of the Board and Chair of the Risk Committee in November 2015. Andy is also a member of the Renewal & Remuneration Committee. He has more than 30 years experience in the IT industry with a long career at IBM where he was a director in the IBM GTS business. He is an experienced director having served for 12 years on the IBM Superannuation Board.


David Boyes - Director

David was appointed to the Intech Board in 2014 and is a member of the Audit and Risk Committees as well as the Merger Committee. He has extensive experience in financial services, sales and delivery leadership. He is currently an Executive Director at Telstra, responsible for the delivery of ICT outsourcing. David’s professional experience has seen him in senior management positions at IBM, Westpac and Ernst & Young.


Rodney Chaplin – Director

Rodney’s relationship with Intech Credit Union began when he joined IBM as a graduate. He has served on the Intech Board since 2008, chairing the Sustainable Growth Committee from November 2012 to January 2014 and the Merger Committee from November 2015. Rodney has extensive experience in sales and account management across a broad range of sectors including financial services, communications, utilities and telecommunications gained via roles at IBM Australia and SAP Australia.


David Mackay - Director

David has been a Member of Intech Credit Union since 2004 and was appointed as a Director in March 2005. He is a member of the Audit & Risk Committees. He has over 20 years experience in ICT with both customer and vendor companies including IBM, Telstra, Hostworks, SUN, and Optus within Australia, as well as Citibank, PeoplesBank and the Federal Reserve Bank in the USA.


Alexandra Rose - Director

Alexandra was appointed to the Board in March 2016 and is a member of the Governance Committee. An experienced lawyer and company director, Alexandra’s current role is Senior Manager – Regulatory Affairs at Insurance Australia Group. She is a non-executive director of Justice Connect and a member of the Law Advisory Board for the University of Technology, Sydney. She has served on legal and not for profit boards including The Law Society of New South Wales, LawCover and Hockey NSW. In 2013, Alexandra was awarded The Corporate Counsel of the Year Award sponsored by the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association and Lawyers Weekly.


Tony Serone - Director

Tony was elected to the Board in November 2015. He is the Chair of the Governance Committee and a member of the Renewal & Remuneration Committee. He has been a member of Intech Credit Union since 1997 when he joined IBM Australia, where he is currently IBM's Asia Pacific Privacy Officer after holding a variety of senior legal roles, including Regional Counsel & Company Secretary of IBM A/NZ. Before joining IBM, Tony had been a legal advisor to a number of Australian Credit Unions and peak industry bodies.


David Wakeley - Director

David was elected to the Intech Board in November 2013 and has been the Chair of the Audit Committee since November 2015, and is a member of the Risk and Merger Committees. He has held a number of senior management positions in a diverse range of industries including financial services, motoring services & education. David is a former CEO of Virgin Money Australia and is now CEO of Autopia.

Robert is an experienced financial services professional with extensive experience in mortgages, retail banking, asset finance, insurance and wealth management in the areas of sales, marketing & communications, distribution & channel development, product management & e-commerce. He has worked for a number of large and smaller banking institutions including Citibank, Rothschild, ME Bank and Newcastle Permanent Building Society.


Mark Harrison – Chief Risk Officer

Mark has more than 14 years experience in the financial services sector predominately in finance and accounting roles, working at a number of mutual banking institutions including Sutherland Credit Union and Transport Industries Credit Union. Mark joined Intech in 2008 as Finance Manager and was appointed Chief Risk Officer in September 2014.


Ashwini Prasad - General Manager Finance

Ashwini is an experienced finance professional with over 20 years experience in finance particularly in the areas of financial accounting, regulatory and statutory reporting, audit and financial planning analysis.

Ashwini has worked for both large and small financial institutions such as Lloyds International and Australian Defence Credit Union.
